In Nashville, USA. There was a young lady named Delilah who lived in Tennessee, and studied in Ravenwood HS.
“Okay class, for today’s activity. You’re gonna be sharing Infront of the class on how your vacation went. What are your experiences and hobbies during the vacation. We may all begin now.” Miss Tuffin said.
“Now, who wants to go first? Any volunteers?”
Delilah raised her hand.
“Yes, Delilah Smith.” Teacher Amy Tuffin called.
Delilah stood in front of the class and smiled.
“During the vacation, I became too busy studying regards how telekinesis would work to reality.” She gladly shared then she brought out her pad paper.
“For everyone’s knowledge, let me introduce you what telekinesis is. Just like superheroes do in films, it is the ability to move objects with the power of mind without even laying a finger on it. Scientifically, I conducted a deep study and got really invested with it. I am doing several experiments on how I can make telekinesis possible. That’s all, thank you.” Delilah shared.
Her classmate, 4.0 GPA student; Heather. Raised her hand.
“Are you saying that you are trying to make the impossible to possible?” Heather asked then she smirked.
Delilah nodded and gave everyone a precious smile. However, Delilah noticed that there’s something off with Miss Tuffin. But, Delilah, just gave the benefit of the doubt to not pressure herself with it.
“You Delilah Smith, think that you can make “telekinesis” possible? It is probably real, there’s no explanation that holds up. Science has excluded the probability of this power even existing. I hate to break it to you young lady, but nothing can mediate the so-called telekinetic force of yours. Nothing can go against physics and seeing ’em win.” Miss Tuffin stated.
“We ran out of time, I guess class, dismissed. Thanks to Delilah for wasting it. Good work, Smith.” then Miss Tuffin walked out of the room.
That damn teacher, Delilah was humiliated.
Heather on the other hand, go in Delilah’s seat with her company. They looked at her from head to toe. While here, Delilah, just stared at them. Especially at Heather.
“Aww, would you look at that. The poor.. little.. creep. Aspiring that telekinesis would come true. You can’t even escape the 3.7 GPA now you’re going against the law of physics? You can’t even beat me. How far can this go Delilah clown? If I were you, you should give up. Take my advice, twerp!” then their group laughed at Delilah. It was insulting, but for Delilah. It was nothing.
Soraya; Heather’s friend. Saw the pad paper in Delilah’s desk. She grabbed it disrespectfully.
“Haven’t you heard of what Miss Tuffin said? Is that how stupid you are?” Soraya said.
“It must suck to be stuck in the 3.7 GPA. Get lost crap!” Soraya said then she rolled her eyes to Delilah. While Heather gave Delilah a disgusted look, then tore the paper; Delilah’s lecture regarding telekinesis. Then, threw it away in Delilah’s face. The three of them walked out laughing of what they’ve done.
However, Delilah. Gave the three a “I don’t care” glance. It was a wholesome attitude. Bravo!
After school, Delilah was picked up by her Dad; her service. At home, the usual, locking herself inside her room. It was Delilah’s comfort zone and her favourite spot is her desk.
In front of the desktop, she has a file copy of what Heather tore at school. Turns out, the copy of her study that Heather tore apart was just an incomplete copy of Delilah’s study. It now makes sense that Delilah didn’t even bother seeing her lecture, her masterpiece tore into pieces by a bully. The complete original was at home, waiting to be printed. Good one, scout!
Inside her room, when you look around. You will see plenty of her studies are all stickers in her walls.
“Carrie White, Doctor Strange, Raven and many more aren’t mentioned but they are all a fictional characters. But their telekinetic abilities can go possible.” a sticker in her wall.
Delilah spent the night studying until she fell asleep. The next day, after school. She tried several experiments again to find supporting evidence and odd answers to her unfinished theory.
She believes that Psychokinesis may go against the law of physics, let this theory prove that the law of motion can be swindled. It may go against the law of motion, but the reality is there is no object that is actually at rest. Since atoms are a substance and in general; particles are in constant motion as always. That it’s not just the law of physics. That direction and behaviour of particles has something to do with the psychological; human concentration and focus.
Goal: Change the direction of the particles to make the particles move in the same motion. In order for an object to move. Mind over matter. Discover manipulation in the direction of the particles.
As the days passes by, Delilah’s theory is obviously going to reach
As the days passes by, Delilah’s theory is obviously going to reach success. Her Dad; a science enthusiast itself. Eventually discovered what Delilah’s been working to. Since Delilah’s Mother is a workaholic person as a marketing consultant in a bigtime company and his Dad is a great investor who doesn’t need to go find a job. His Dad respects the privacy of her daughter and never had a chance to enter Delilah’s room. However, when his Dad knew. His father supported her.
Delilah and his Dad spent sleepless nights just to compile enough evidence to prove Delilah’s theory is true. It was Delilah’s wish to make her theory turn into a scientifically explained fact. Few years passes by, they developed their psychic ability unexpectedly. The two became really happy with it. They kept on practicing, observing, and analysing the abilities of each other hoping to surprisingly come up with a solution to their unresolved puzzle. Her father gave her daughter a nickname and called her “Dusana” which in slavic means “spirit or soul”. Because the father, he admires her daughter for her fighting spirit and soul’s bravery. Since their study also requires spirit and soul, he thought that it’s a perfect nickname for her daughter. Dusana.
To the point that they came up in a conclusion after years of studying. That Psychokinesis is possible due to matter or a person’s thoughts. The reason behind mind over matter, where of what a person’s think or strongly believe comes to reality. It is basically because the response of the body or the actions are all based of the mind’s thoughts. The manipulation of the particles became possible because of the new found force the father named the “TK Force” where TK stands for telekinetic. The TK Force can control, generate and manipulate various forms of energy. The generation of TK Force is found in mind over matter; when someone is critically thinking and believing that such a thing is probable.
A study where the law of physics is truthful, but it can be swindled by the use of the “TK Force” generated from “mind over matter”.
They remained their secret to protect and prepare her daughter for bigger things. Delilah’s Dad plans to make Delilah reveal the secret in the stage where the Dad thinks her daughter is prepared and independent enough to handle herself to what world Delilah’s getting into when she reveals her and Dad’s study secret.
As time flies by, Delilah is finally a high school graduate. Delilah’s parents decided to send her in Science University. During that time, Delilah’s mother is keeping her sickness as a secret to her own family. While Delilah and his father on the other hand, was so excited knowing that Delilah is already in college and going to study in a university of science.
On the first day at Science University, Delilah and her classmates are assigned to their own dorms with a mini laboratory corner of each one of them. Their first project is to submit their own inventions, studies, technologies that are yet unknown and make a presentation with it. At school, there is a big laboratory where they can work together. Also, just like the usual schools, there are also classrooms where professors educate the students.
The school is high-tech in almost everything. Robots and machine inventions can make things done in an easier way(s). Such as houseworks can be handled by a robot, a few basic household chores quickly finished once it dials in the software. It is done in no time. The University has machines that can help out with not just housework, but also in opening doors and picking up items. The University is working out on improving their inventions.
Delilah spent her entire free time throughout the day exploring the university. It amazes her whenever she encounters such inventions. Which inspires and motivates her even more.
Inside her dormitory, while inventing a robotic cat that’ll soon be her mini pet. She uses her telekinetic abilities to assist herself. It serves as a practice with her ability, practice to be more in control of her power. But this ability of her’s, is been a secret hidden ever since.
She plans to submit her so-called “Paige the Cat”. Her abilities are to play with whom the registered owner programmed and the ability to store a massive amount of data, health maintenance of its owner; heart rate, body temperature and many more unmentioned. Making Paige highly intelligent in some fields, but this robotic cat takes time to program the information.
Eventually, Delilah succeeded with the project she is working on which is “Paige the Cat”. She was so excited to submit it to their professor the next three days and encountered different creations of her classmates. She seems so ready to present her own work.
Three days have passed, and the students of the university were instructed to gather at the laboratory. Everyone is assigned to table 3 per person in each table. Delilah met Benedict “Ben” Campbell since he was assigned to the same desk. She was amazed with the creations of her classmates especially with Ben’s, they became good friends.
“Tomorrow the other set will be presenting their own in the lab; there is a division within sections with a given schedule.” Ben informed.
Delilah nodded.
“It was a pleasure meeting you, Miss Smith.” Ben formally stated.
“Mr. Campbell, I insist just call me Delilah.” Delilah jokingly said.
“Okay then Delilah, I guess that’s what makes us friends. Right?” Ben chuckled.
“Sure. Good luck with your presentation Ben!” – Delilah.
Ben offered a hand for them to shake as an agreement.
“You too!” Ben responded.
Delilah smiled. After that, their conversation ended. Both are just attentively listening in front. After Ben’s presentation, while her classmates are presenting, she was so amazed seeing such inventions.
Until the moment she was called in front. Ben smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up, then she gave Ben and everyone a sweet smile and proudly presented “Paige the Cat”. Where she received a high rating after. Her professor saw a potential to her most especially when he knew that Delilah just made her invention within 3 days before the project-program. Afterwards, after her classes. She entered her dorm and slept merrily with the result.
Months passes by, Delilah enjoyed being at the University. Delilah and Ben became good friends. As the days passes by, the closer they get to each other.
However, years after, Ben is sometimes seemingly suspicious with his dorm and feels like he has something to hide from everyone. Including, Delilah. Conversely, Delilah just gave his friend the benefit of the doubt with it and disregarded the gut instincts she has. Everything seems going so well, but not until one day. Ben is being distant and the never ending reason to refuse on what’s Delilah is inviting her to do. He keeps on saying that it’s because of his outputs. Even though there aren’t much assigned for him. Delilah knows it since they’re classmates.
Ben’s presence often became like a bubble, he was there for a moment. Absent for a while. That was an alternative system of Ben.
“Then Ben is finally finished with his drawing that is yet to be coloured.” – A Metaphor.
His dorm is always locked and blinds permanently closed. On the other hand, Delilah is practicing her telekinetic abilities whenever she’s free since she got no one to hang with because Ben is always not available.
One day, a guy with a blue mask came with its telekinetic ability. He crashed everything he sees that can be destroyed and frightened everyone with his magical piece.
Afterwards, he thought of finding a hideout and transferred his secret devices at night where no one was around. He built walls surrounding his devices to protect them. Planning to proceed on his second goal is to set the building on fire.
Eventually he succeeded again in doing his hide out and setting things up. While on the other hand, Delilah’s suspicion got worse and wonders why Ben is being distant. So, she spent her free time in experimenting, studying and practicing telekinesis. She is trying to figure out of where, what and how the anonymous villain got his abilities and how to capture nor defeat him. To not allow him to spread his wickedness.
In a long run, Ben is prepared for his plan.
Ben, ones again, came out readily to destroy the university. He killed many lives for he set the university on fire afterwards. Everything is following according to plan. Ben was happy and he felt the power he never had.
Delilah’s father was inside the building too but he didn’t inform her child regards it. Delilah hesitantly reveals her secret, she is unaware that her father is inside the building. Delilah was in her dorm, she wears a mask on her face so no one will be able to recognize her. She hesitantly revealed her secret but never her identity. Ben defeated her, however, Delilah still stood up and tried to keep up with it. Ben flee her up the skies and she flew down coincidentally in the roof of Ben’s hide out. There, where Delilah discovered his secret. She was shocked when she found out that the evil villain was Ben. It made her sad. She wrecked the inventions there, and afterwards there it goes. Ben’s weakness has been finally discovered. But Delilah, rescued first her father before lots of people in this University. Ben removed his blue mask so he cannot breathe properly and he felt so weak. He cursed at Dusana and this made Dusana unhappy.
“So long, my friend.” Dusana said then she smirked..
After what happened, lots of people died because of the selfishness of Delilah. There, she knew her mother’s long kept secret that she is sick. Months have passed and her mother left her too. She felt extreme bereavement after all that happened. Delilah was sitting on a bench in the park. Her mind begins to wander. Putting things into a perspective. Out of nothing, a kid said out loud its playmate while holding an iron man toy “they used to say that with great power comes with great responsibility and being a hero isn’t about having super powers. It’s about the sacrifices you do for the sake of others.”. Delilah took her moment to realize what actually happened and she actually applied what she heard from the kid. Although he didn’t do it, and picked to rescue her father, lots of people died. After all, all she only has in her life is herself.
